Jester

In my experience, being a woman in a public place is to be on display. How you look is to invite judgment, unspoken or otherwise. In this piece we are looking at, and dare I say it, judging the Jester. But at the same time, she is calmly gazing at us back, making her own conclusions.

2022, Oil on stretched canvas, 20 x 16 x 0.6 inch (51 x 41 x 2cm)

The original work is currently in an exhibition ‘From Florence to Pop’.
